Pedagogical conditions for the development of future specialists’ culture of intellectual work
In the conditions of a pedagogical profile institutions, the specificity of a student's education is determined by a higher, in comparison with a school, initial level of students’ intellectual maturity; self-development motivation, along with general didactic, professionally significant goals and motives;
- the natural desire of youth for self-actualization among peers, as well as a sensitive, from the point of view of psychology, period in the development of the intellectual capabilities of the individual, coinciding for the vast majority of students with the period of study in an educational institution.
There are great reserves for the development of a culture of intellectual work in the process of professional and pedagogical education. But a special role is assigned to psychological and pedagogical disciplines, since these subjects are the closest to the upcoming activities of future pedagogical specialists.
Among the circumstances hindering the development of students’ culture of intellectual work are: the lack of a stable cognitive interest among students; imperfection of the content and teaching technologies; unproductive character of interaction between teachers and students.
In our opinion, personality-oriented education should create conditions for the full development of a person, the realization of his need for self-change, self-determination, self-fulfillment and self-actualization.
In this regard, we offer a set of pedagogical conditions for the effective development of future teachers’ culture of intellectual work:
1) Strengthening the cognitive component of the motivation for learning and intellectual growth of the individual.
2) Improvement of the content and technological components of education.
3) Pedagogical assistance to self-organization of students' intellectual activity.
When identifying the pedagogical conditions for future teachers’ culture of intellectual work, the main emphasis is made on the system for developing the culture of intellectual work of a future specialist, which would best meet the socio-economic requirements for modern specialists, create intensive flexible learning systems that provide high quality of educational and professional training and early motivation for intellectual work and realize all the potentialities and abilities of the individual.
So, the development of the culture of intellectual work of future teacher is a pedagogical system aimed at normalization of the relationship between the goal, content and procedural orientation of this process.
Coordination of the system components (target, content and procedural) allows us to create the necessary conditions for the targeted development of a culture of intellectual work [26].
The system for developing the culture of intellectual work of a future specialist includes the following components: a personal and professional component, content space (goal, tasks, guiding ideas, content and stages, methods and forms, pedagogical conditions), criteria and indicators of the formation of future specialists’ culture of intellectual work .
The personal-professional component of the system of development of future specialists’ culture of intellectual work involves the disclosure of human capabilities, forming of professional motives and interests, the creative potential of the student's personality – in other words, professionally significant personal qualities.
